We're always on the lookout
for bright, talented people to work with. But before
you email us your resume just yet, take a moment to
read about how we work...
We have a core group of dedicated folks that are the
heart and soul of Stoner Creek Design. We are committed
to a sustainable business model, therefore we rarely ask a new member
to join our core team. But when we do (a) we genuinely
have a need for a dedicated person in a specific discipline,
(b) we are confident in the
long-term sustainability of the position, and (c) we
already have a long and successful history of working
with the person being considered.
"But...Hey,
how can I go about being considered for one of these
dedicated positions if I haven't had the chance to work
with you yet?" Read on for the answer to that very
question...
our independent
network
We are strong believers
in the power and resilience of a network of professional
independent contractors working together over time.
Working with a wide range of freelancers in a variety
of disciplines allows us to remain a very lean and nimble
company. We have the ability to stick around when more
traditionally structured firms go under because they've
overextended (laying off a bunch of people in the process).
We can easily scale up for big projects, while staying
efficient when things slow down.
The other big advantage to working with members of
our freelance network is that it gives us a chance to
try them out (and vice versa) to see how good of a fit
we are. Over time, this means that we only continue
to work with the best and brightest, which is good for
both us and our clients.
join our network
So, if you're gifted
in your discipline, you might want to consider joining
our independent network. When we get a project that
might be a good fit for a person with your skills, we'll
drop you a line and see if you're available. And if
we end up working together, we'll have the opportunity
to see how well we mesh. If it's a mutually good fit,
we can look forward to the possibility of a long working
relationship that continues to benefit us both.
We typically have an
ongoing need for the following:
Expert web developers
Talented designers
Copywriters and content developers
Specialists in things like Flash, Java, PHP and databasing
Illustrators and icon designers
People with a sense of humor
People who floss
People who like Ale-8
(or are willing to learn)
